Glyph Caster
Action / Wave Survival
About
Glyph Caster is a spell-drawing wave-survival arena. Glowing orbs descend from the dark toward your ward line, each one branded with an elemental rune. Draw that rune anywhere on the screen and a seeking bolt streaks out to shatter the matching orb. Keep the right glyphs flowing and your combo multiplier climbs; let an orb slip past the ward and you lose health and your streak. Survive long enough and the Rune Warden — a shielded boss — descends to test everything you've learned. Original "Midnight Arcanum" soundtrack and a full deck of synthesized spell effects play throughout.
How to Play
- Draw a rune by dragging with the mouse (or your finger on touch). Release to cast — a good match fires a bolt at the nearest matching orb.
- The trail tints to the element it currently reads as, so you get live feedback while you draw.
- Draw fast and accurately — the longer you keep matching, the higher your combo multiplier.
The Runes
- Triangle → Fire (red orbs)
- Circle → Frost (blue orbs)
- Z → Storm (yellow orbs)
- Star → Nova — a screen-clearing ultimate that blasts every orb on screen (on a cooldown)
The Rune Warden (Boss)
- Every five waves a boss replaces the normal wave — a massive orb behind a shifting elemental shield.
- Only the spell matching the boss's current shield rune wounds it, and the shield keeps cycling fire → frost → storm. Watch the telegraph ring and strike on the right element.
- Nova deals heavy damage. Defeat the Warden to mend your ward and earn a big score bonus; each boss is faster and tougher than the last.
Tips
- Armored orbs take two hits — the first cracks the shell, the second destroys it.
- A recognized cast with no matching target doesn't break your combo, but a misdraw fizzles and resets it.
- Save your Nova for crowded screens or to punch through a boss shield window.
- Your best score and wave are saved between sessions — chase that high score.
